Raccoon Trapping
Raccoons are some of our favorite animals in the whole woods. We have had 4 different Raccoons that we raised as pets and would sleep in bed with us as kids growing up. They are very intelligent, learn fast, and so darn cute but, don’t ever corner one or even get close to a wild raccoon. Pound for pound, they are extremely tough and can do some serious damage to a pet. They can also carry Rabies and other diseases. Rescue Trappers gets many calls for Raccoons leaving their droppings on the edge of the pool, many calls for Raccoons in the attic, flipping over garbage cans, to name a few.
Rescue Trappers will usually try to explain to the homeowner how best to live with the animals around them but for the reasons above, they usually have to be trapped and removed. Raccoons in an attic usually means a mother raccoon with babies, and these jobs can be very difficult. It’s always the goal of Rescue Trappers to catch the mother first and hold her for a couple days if needed while looking for the babies. Reuniting the mother with her babies miles away is a truly rewarding experience to witness as she picks them up by the scruff of the neck and cradling the others as she seeks cover. Many times Rescue Trappers has had jobs where we could hear the babies but they were in hard to get areas. We can make the same sounds the mother does and have had the babies crawl right to us, sometimes they are so little their eyes are still closed. If you have a Raccoon problem that you need it trapped and removed in a animal friendly manner then give Rescue Trappers a call. Rescue Trappers does a great job repairing the damage done by their entry.

- Aquatic Attraction: Raccoons are drawn to pools for several reasons, including using them as a means to wash their paws, and for private bathroom breaks. Additionally, they seem to have a keen sense for detecting the absence of alligators in these watery retreats.
